No, I don’t belong to “that” party so why am I bearing all here?
I believe in meticulous reporting of potential conflicts of interest and I believe that all elected officials should have to declare their pecuniary interests in a similar manner to that required of central government MPs.
I am a practicing Veterinary Surgeon and Cancer Researcher working for the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre developing new generation anticancer drugs targeting tumour hypoxia.
Conflict of Interest
I hereby disclose the following conflict of interest. I have share options in Proacta Therapeutics Ltd which is a company started in New Zealand to develop cancer killing drugs, with the aim of retaining as much profit and control for New Zealand as possible.
Other disclosures
Declaration of Bias I have a strong bias towards, and vested interest in, New Zealand and Auckland. I am married to Dianne and have five children who wish to reside and have a future in our beautiful country. Consequently I am biased towards New Zealand remaining a vibrant, diverse and beautiful country with an economy that allows its people fulfil their full potential here. Dianne and my children are of European and Maori (Ngai tahu) descent. We have lived in Auckland all our lives as have our parents and my grandparents. All my children have grown up in Auckland and 4 out of 5 of them are living and working or studyong in Auckland. One of my sons, Ryan, is also running in these elections for the Eden-Albert Ward of the Auckland City Council and the Eden-Albert Community Board.
