Would anybody give me some sound advice–This is a short version of events I have cared for an elderly Mum for a no of years without help or respite care very well .Then the DHB and waitemata Health got involved and my life has turned into a nightmare or worse.Due to Mum deterioration in health and my own (24/7 with help during the week only– 2hrs daily and three one day for shopping which rarely happened)The DHB suggested Mum went into respite care which I agreed to knowing we had to pay a short fall.In the mean time it was discussed that looking after Mum was to difficult for one person and that she should stay in the Rest home .The Rest-home and the DHB knew her financial affairs so she was to transfer to Residential care which never happened I personally got the bill as I had signed my Mother into the Rest-home-Finally after months and months of begging and pleading court action from the rest-home the DHB paid there share we paid our share but there was a short fall of 4,800 Court costs that I have to find or be placed into bankruptcy have my car for sale which hasn’t sold yet but will soon.My question is Why can’t I get a fair and honest hearing from anybody ??why are the DHBor the Rest-home not at all responsible for any of this as they were to blame for the mess .The DHB in a letter to my Lawyer have used the fact I was unwell and a letter from my doctor (which they insisted on )to get out of any responsibility at all.In desperation I went to my local MP and that was no help (Birenheide National party)Nobody cares at all as I am just nobody important and I have several other incidients of the same in justices from same government departments—-just nowhere to go for help.Anybody with anything that may help please
    Desperate
